The Caring Canines Program offers trained, therapeutic dogs to children attending court. The canines provide comfort to the court-related children, helping the children overcome the awkwardness and anxiety of being in court. The dogs and their handlers are present in certain dependency court hearings as well as in the child-friendly waiting room. The presence of the canines helps create a less stressful and more enjoyable experience for the children.
