The Florida State Family Court Steering Committee, working under the direction of the Florida Supreme Court, recommended the establishment of a Family Law Advisory Group (FLAG) in each circuit. The goal of FLAG is to promote to effective communication among all of the judicial stakeholders as well as with the community. FLAG provides an open forum for identifying issues and resolving complaints including procedural issues, interagency conflicts, and family court policies. In the Fifteenth Circuit, FLAG members attend an annual meeting while subcommittees meet throughout the year. Typically at the annual meeting, the subcommittee members provide updates on the issues they have explored and resolved. The annual meeting is also where the members, as a whole, identify the FLAG goals for the new year.
